Containerized Shipment

We provide secure, efficient, and scalable containerized shipping solutions tailored to your cargo type and destination. Whether it’s FCL or LCL, our global network ensures smooth transit, optimized space utilization, and full visibility from origin to delivery.

Key Features and Advantages of Containerized Shipment

Standardization:
Containers are manufactured in accordance with international standards (ISO). The most commonly used types are 20-foot and 40-foot containers. This standardization allows containers to be transported seamlessly across ships, trains, and trucks worldwide.

Security:
Containers are sealed and enclosed units that protect cargo from external factors such as weather conditions, theft, and damage. This provides a significant advantage, especially for the transportation of sensitive or valuable goods.

Multimodal Transport:
Containers can be easily transferred from ship to train or truck at ports using specialized cranes. This multimodal (intermodal) transport capability ensures that the logistics chain operates smoothly and efficiently.

Cost Efficiency:
Standard containers automate much of the transportation process, reducing dependence on manual labor and lowering operational costs. The low transportation cost per unit offers a major advantage, particularly for high-volume shipments.

Variety:
In addition to dry containers used for general cargo, there are various specialized types such as reefer (refrigerated) containers for perishable goods, tank containers for liquids, and open-top or flat-rack containers for heavy or oversized loads.

How Does the Container Shipping Process Work?

Loading:
The shipper loads the goods into the container either at their own warehouse or at a port facility (CFS – Container Freight Station) and seals the container.

Road or Rail Transport:
The sealed container is transported to the port by truck or train.

Port Operations:
At the port, cranes load and stack the container onto the vessel.

Sea Transport:
The container is shipped by sea to the destination port.

Unloading and Distribution:
At the destination port, the container is unloaded from the vessel and cleared through customs. It is then delivered to the final destination by truck or train.

In short, containerized shipment forms the backbone of the global supply chain and accounts for a large portion of world trade today. By making logistics more organized, secure, and cost-effective, this system has enabled modern trade to reach its current level.
